Its Indian/ Chinese cousin. I like see food and vegetables. Very good.
It is halal
No they are not.
No,.ask and advise
12 to 15 dollars
Depending on your apetite, you could get away with about 20-25 dollars. This will include an appetizer and a main dish with a serving of bread or rice (your choice). Can be cheaper if you skip the appetizer and go straight for main. Also depends on your choice of appetizer. Some are a lot cheaper.
This is probably my favourite restaurant in Vancouver and maybe even the world. The food never fails with its jam packed authentic flavours. Always good quality, fast service. There is usually always a wait around dinner time to be seated but it’s totally worth it every time. I also pick up food to take home as well. The owners are very nice and employees are fast at serving. Masala fish is my favourite item here. The only thing I wish this restaurant offered was #DELIVERY! I would pay anything to have them deliver their food as i live far from the restaurant. Whether they team with with skipthedishes or ubereats.. or deliver independently that would be a game changer. Nonetheless, MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT.
Very disappointed. Food took an hour, while people sitting beside my wife and me, who arrived much later, got their dishes before us. For an establishment that's been around since 1999, you'd think the operation would be more efficient by now.
Delicious food - oh the blissful marriage of Chinese and Indian! Good price. Efficient service.
Great staff, nice mix of dishes. The gobi manchurian is great.
Really tasty... The masala chicken fried rice was great, the dry spicy green beans great... The Manchurian chicken just ok. Indo Chinese food is fantastic, give this place a try.
There is no doubt that the Green Lettuce has tasty food. Now a days, they increase the price and reduced the quantity in a plate as well.
Delicious food! The shrimp fried rice and chilli chicken both definitely had the nice Hakka style spice kick to it, which was super tasty. Comparable to the many Hakka restaurants in Toronto. The wonton soup and hot and sour soup were a bit disappointing though. I suggest save ordering those dishes for when you're at Cantonese/HK style restaurants instead. I'd definitely go back and focus on the meat dishes, fried rice, and noodles. I think that Hakka cuisine probably does best at these.
This place is a hidden gem. Family run and operated they do a mix of Indian style Chinese food which was new to me. I love the manchurian chicken and the pili beef. Spicy and delicious food and kind and friendly staff is what you’ll find at Green Lettuce.
Always the best. Have been visiting this restaurant for eight years now. It reminds me of Delhi food. A must try!
Good food... Always. Bit busy on Fridays. Service is ok.
The food is very tasty here! Not much service but it's fast and delicious. My favourites:1. Manchurian style vegetables2. Spicy eggplant and green beans3. Spicy chili garlic eggplant (or green beans) and chicken - similar to #23. Stir fry shrimps4. Naan breadThese items are more on the Chinese side in terms of flavour. We always get these dishes (except shrimps) when we have group lunch at the office.
Such an amazing experience every time! The food looks amazing and tastes spectacular always too! Great qualities of all dishes. Highly recommended the veggie manchurian - it's spicy so beware. Quick and efficient service. And extremely kind staff as well! No matter how much you over eat the delicious food, no stomach aches because the food is just that fresh and amazing!
Always busy, but their service is friendly. Often the big tables are filled with large groups so it can get a little noisy. Portions are big and the food tastes great. Big menu with lots of variety. Would recommend you try this place if you’re in the area. The fried noodles are better than the fried rice even though they both taste good. Just a word of warning- most of their food is spicy so if you are not used to it, I would advice letting the waiter know. The soup was fantastic too and the paneer dishes are unique and flavourful.Edit: Down from an initial 4 star review. Would be more convenient if they used their website or google maps to tell customers when they are closed. Putting a sign on their door is useless for those who travel from a distance just to be disappointed. They don’t answer their phones on occasion either.
We have been going to thus family owned and operated business for more than 10 years. The food is excellent, the servings are generous. The Owners do care, as demonstrated by Peter who still is in the kitchen cooking up a storm!Enjoy.
The food is very good. I am only giving 3 stars for the service. One of the worker bring to the table beside where we sat and start to separate the recycle bottles from the waste . While we are eating 😜
Good food and service.
Not our first time there and definitely won't be our last. The great recipes and blends of different food that they have is so good whether you take it home or eat there. If it is your first time going I would recommend eating there. Such a great place and will always be a contender for great restaurants to go have dinner at. Very great staff and really good prices for your portions.
Been here a few times. Excellent food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is often busy. Service can be inconsistent depending on how busy it is.
Honestly one of my favourite restaurants in all of Metro Vancouver. From service, to excellent food, they have it all. Proportions are good, and the deep fried banana is my favourite!
By far the best Indian Chinese restaurant. The soups are a must try along with the chilli chicken, masala fried rice and gobi manchurian. Their spring rolls are a bit oily but the flavour is really good.
Great tasting dishes. Had the chilli chicken, beef fried rice and i believe ginger chicken. Good amount of portions per serving. Came here between lunch and dinner so it was pretty quiet. There's a few parking spots at the back and street parking. The staff were pretty friendly and food was quick.
Food is decent. I would say its more towards Chinese than Indian. Taste overall is pleasant, but it just misses the kick which you get from Indo Chinese food back in India
Great service excellent food. Reasonable price. Been visiting for the past 10 years.
First time trying hakka. Pretty good food. I had the Mongolian beef and hot and sour soup and a cow me in dish. Service was pretty quick. Good spice in the soup.
I ordered a take out. The packing was so bad. My whole food spilled out till the time i reached home. Also, i ordered man-chow soup, they gave me hot n sour. Very bad. Very disappointed.
Great food! Almost felt like home cooked food. Very friendly service. Accomodating to special food requests such as gluten-free diet. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. I saw some reviews about this restaurants being a fusion of Chinese and Indian and was a bit apprehensive at first, but when I tasted the food, it was amazing. It's a great way to change things up a bit for Asian family dinners. The interior is fairly basic, but the food is what really shines.
Awesome little gem. Great food and the owners are awesome. Have been Como g here for years. Highly recommend you try the food. Trust me, the food and atmosphere will keep you coming back.
We were on the lookout for halal Chinese (with a mix of Indian taste) food and they delivered. The staff was friendly, the place was packed but the wait time was minimal. The service was quick. Upon the recommendation of the server, we ordered the chicken Manchurian, beef chili dry and vegetable fried rice. They adjust the level of heat to your liking. The rice was a tad bit too oily. The beef chili dry was good.
This place is really good! Where else can you get Indian and Chinese food at the same place?
The spring rolls vere TOO OILY. So oily that oil was dripping while you eat them. The noodles needed little bit of salt and the Gobi Manchurian was okay. The chai was good, but they filled it to the brim that it was impossible to drink it without spilling. I've eaten better Indian Chinese, this one is not the best one.
Great food, great spices used. Lots of flavors
Amazing flavors, closest you can get to Indian Style Chinese cuisine. Excellent service and decent wine selection. Only suggestion for management, reduce the amount of batter you use for chili chicken, beef in plum sauce etc. type dishes unable to taste the meat.
Love love love this place! Combination of Indian Chinese is divine and the food quality is amazing and great value! Everyone I know loves it here, very popular but easy parking and lots of seating. Highly recommend!
I always missed Chinese food in Vancouver until I found Green lettuce. Growing up I loved Chinese Indian fusion food and green lettuce truly lives up to the flavors. My husband introduced me to this family run restaurant and i have been in love since then. This place will not disappoint you on flavors, quality and customer service. Strongly recommend it.
Really like their Indian style Chinese food!!Area: There was nobody there but my friend and me (that’s how I got the panorama of the whole area with nobody!). Nice place with Asian-style furniture, which really reminded me of my hometown. Food: We ordered a lot and brought home a lot too, so I didn’t remember the exact name of every dish; but I’d say Mongolian Beef was tasty and flavorful! However, the food overall didn’t really impress me. That’s why I gave this 4 stars.Service: I wish I could give a 4.5 since the service was AMAZING! The server aka owner was super duper dedicated and friendly. She also gave us two extra fortune cookies though I only asked for one more (just want to see my fortune again since the first was pretty generic and vague, lol).Price: About $9-$14 per dish. Quite affordable for such good portion. Will go back and try more food :) Can’t wait to explore the whole menu!
Rating: 5/5How much time should you spend here: 1-2 hrsPricing: Depends on amount of people· 4 people around $40Who to bring here/Suitable for: Family and friendsWarnings/Precautions: N/AAdditional features: Serve Halal Food· Great Indo-Chinese FusionCons: A little coldParking Situation: Not the best, due to street parking but is do-able
I will say the best Indo-Chinese place in Vancouver. Good quality and quantity food. The place is recently renovated and have a cool interior. Staffs are extremely friendly and welcoming. I tried the beef fried rice and beef Manjurian - both were delicious. I think the quantity is enough for two people - if you wont eat too much food. Definitely going there again.
Great service, friendly staff, food was on the salty side for my personal taste. If you really like (emphasis on really like) Chinese and Indian, then this fusion place might be for you.
Only eaten here once. It was delicious - (beef and black bean lunch special), and the price was great. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well if you're so inclined.
I go to this restaurant very often. The food here is outstanding. I love the hakka cuisine so somewhat it's food is similar to that so I just love this place.
Delicious! Reminds me Chinese Street food in India
Great Hakka food! If you’re looking for some great Indian style chinese food, you’re at the right place. When we went, the service was a little slow but it’s because they had a full restaurant and only 1 server. The food was outstanding. Prices are very reasonable.
One of the best places for Chinese food you will find in BC.Their Green Lettuce Fried Rice was soooo gooood! It was like no other fried rice I've had before. We also tried the Manchurian chicken, Mongolian Beef and the Hakka Chow Mein. They were all really really good! The service was amazing! They sat us down very quickly, took our order and the food came fast too! There's some pictures with celebrities they have hanging on the wall which is really cool. The amazing owners have met Sridevi (RIP), Salman Khan and many others! Was talking to the owners about it and we had quite a long conversation about it, it was great! Turns out we both speak the same language! What a coincidence!Overall: The Food was top notch, and the service was Excellent! Thank you so much for the extra fortune cookies, you guys are awesome! Keep up the great work! Will definitely return again and again and again A+++
Had to wait almost an hour to get a table. The food served was really cold. We asked waiter to heat the food. He comes back after a while and food is still the same.
Had to wait 45 minutes for a walk-in table for 2, but totally worth it. The food was delicious. Will definitely come back but make reservations.
I had the spicy chicken rice and it was too good.
Total gem for Hakka food. Been coming here for over 10 years and the quality is consistent
I'd been looking for a good Indo Chinese place in Vancouver for a while, and I think I've finally found what I was searching for. While the ambience is a bit meh, but the food itself more than makes up for it! It's extremely flavorful, and quite close to the indo-chinese fusion stuff I remember from Delhi. I tried the Spicy garlic dumplings (which are a must try, in my opinion), and the Chilli Paneer (which was quite good too). Expect a bit of wait if you're going there on a weekend.
Best for subcontinental people. Thai-Chinese food. Some of the servers know good Bengali.
